Book Review of Wild Child, Book Two-Lilith by Mike Wells

As soon as I started reading the second book of the Wild Child trilogy, I knew that I was going to love it. It’s great storytelling at its best and you are on the edge of your seat during the whole book. In this book, we are brought back to the story between Kyle and Briana and the next adventure that they are going through. The story starts with Kyle and his plan for going back for Briana whom he left in the cave of “green water” in the last book. It’s a fast-paced book that has you turning page after page to see what happens next.

“His heart gave a sudden hard thump as his flashlight passed across the creature’s face.”

Book two continues after Kyle has secured Briana’s safety from the government agents. He ends up on his own, exhausted, starved and eventually passes out. A farmer finds him and returns him back to health. After he recovers he steals dynamite and goes back to the cave to rescue Briana. What he finds when he gets to the cave changes everything. In the meantime, the government is working harder than ever to find the special cave and Briana and Kyle with the help of a new agent named Lilith.

The book is everything you could hope for as a second installment. You get a more dramatic story line that is nothing short of awesome. You get to learn more about the special properties of the green water and what it did to Brianna. Kyle is challenged in whole new ways and you see the true test of friendship and loyalty.

Once again Mike Wells has proven that he can keep a reader engaged one chapter at a time. At the end of the book, I couldn’t help but want to start the third one to see what happens next. Another five-star rating for a book that is as interesting as it is captivating.
